- Transaction Data: We extract and store only essential transaction information (description, amount, and category) from your bank statements and emails. The original documents and emails are not stored in our database.
- Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our services
- Technical Data: Cookies
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain our AI-powered financial analytics services
- Process your transactions and manage your subscription
- Categorize your financial data
- Communicate with you about updates, security alerts, and support
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse of our services
3. Data Processing and Handling
We prioritize your privacy by minimizing data storage:
- PDF Documents & Statements: Account statements and PDF documents are processed in memory to extract transaction data and are immediately discarded. They are never stored in our database.
- Email Processing: Emails are processed in real-time without being stored in our database:
- Non-transactional emails are identified and discarded immediately in system memory
- Emails falsely classified as transactional (spam, promotional bank emails) are rejected during our categorization phase
- Only relevant transaction data is extracted and stored
- What We Store: From your financial documents and emails, we only retain:
- Original transaction description (parsed from the source)
- Transaction amount
- Transaction category (automatically assigned by the AI)
4. Data Storage and Security
Storage: Only extracted transaction data (description, amount, category) is securely stored in PostgreSQL databases with enterprise-grade security measures. Original emails and documents are never stored.
Security Measures:
- Secure access controls and authentication
- Automated backup systems
- In-memory processing for sensitive documents with immediate disposal
5. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do NOT sell your data to third parties.
We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- AI Processing Services: We use third-party AI services (such as OpenAI and Google Gemini) solely to automatically categorize your transactions in real-time. Your transaction data is processed by these services according to their API terms, which prohibit using customer data for training AI models. No data is retained by these services.
- Service Providers: Trusted partners who assist in operating our platform (e.g. hosting services)
- Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our legal rights
- With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize us to share your information
6. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data
- Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Portability: Export your data in a machine-readable format
- Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications
7. Data Retention
We retain only the extracted transaction data (description, amount, category) for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. When you cancel your subscription:
- Your transaction data will be retained for 30 days to allow for reactivation
- After 30 days, your data will be permanently deleted
- Some information may be retained for legal or regulatory purposes
Note: Original emails and PDF documents are never stored in our systems at any time. They are processed in memory and immediately discarded after transaction extraction.
